The adapter has three individual adjustment knobs for the X, Y and Z axes, allowing extremely precise alignment between your phone camera and the eyepiece of your optic. This gives you a huge leg up on other smartphone that limit adjustments to only two axes. The adapter can fit around eyepieces between 30 mm and 60 mm in diameter and includes a 21 mm adapter ring for microscope eyepieces.
